    complaint #1 – horrible customer service; long hold wait time on the phone over 17 min today. Very busy pharmacy and short-staff – long wait to pick pick up meds and no one is answering the calls. staff would pick up and place it back onhold without saying anything on the phone. I was put on hold 5 times
    complaint #2 – NJ PAAD – not always on file. always have to remind the tech to bill NJ PAAD as a secondary payer to minimize copays.

    I like to call first to make sure that the medications are in process and to get the time it would be ready for pick up. If I don’t call ahead, when I get to the store there is always an issue – either its not done yet and I have to wait at the store or there is a discrepancy with the medication itself.

  3. I am really disappointed in the Walgreens Pharmacy in New Castle, IN.
    I can’t believe you would shut it down even temporarily.
    I called my husband’s prescription into One of the stores in Anderson, IN and it said it would be ready to pickup the next day after 11:00 am. Which is today.
    We get there and the Pharmacy isn’t even open on Saturday, so I called the other store and they said they could fill it for us.
    What about people who would have had no way out of town.
    Because if it’s very long I’m transferring my prescriptions somewhere else.

I have been at the East Cobb Shallowford Rd Walgreens for over 22 yrs doing a ton of business and wow and the changes that are happening it is as if the afroamerican pharmacist and techs are playing their “power car” I am white, they are not about to help me w/my prescriptions but will go as far to recommend a competitor for me to use? Really Corporate is training these pharmacists and techs don’t give these white folk any help but do turn them away. This seem a tad different than the CEO that got hired and wanted to work on diversity. Got your job cut out for you at the Walgreens store at Shallowford /sandy Plains intersection in Georgia. It seems every time I go they want to cause problems w/my medicines and end up suggestion go find it at another pharmacy. Really you are running your patients off then instead of listening to your customers and help the customer order the correct manufacturer that works with their system. I hear the CEO is big in diversity. she needs to get a hold of this store, this store is mostly blacks and they hate white customers. I feel it every phone call. Being deversity doesn’t mean one side wins it mean we were together for the good of the customer and everyone be nice while working together. But we got a RULY Black HEAD PHarmacist I just call it like it is, I a white and she has it in for me. Can the Ceo read this and speak to this store. THank you! I have been coming to this store for over 22 yrs a ton of business and constantly told to leave this store and go elsewear. MY husband worked in Corporate America a long time CEO of Jerzees for Russell Corp with Wal-mart as his biggest customer not even then in those day did I hear the racial problems. But this CEO seems to want to get it fixed, trust me it starts not w/you or me but an us. AND the You can’t come in w/a chip on your shoulder and a made up mind I will not help the white woman I am black I will show her what meds she will get. It is awlful at the store yes, let’s call learned racism. It needs to be address, But this new CEO of walgreens you can tell, yep she is pulling her race card. Drop it with the race card. We are all people. no one needs to be treated any differently based on skin color, white or black. So give us white customers some slack. The employees are mostly black and try to make it real hard on their white customers. A lot of these employees sound high/like they are taking drugs. I really wished if the CEO cared about this diversity and wanting to make a change, come to this store one day and see the disaster this store is.

I wanted to let whom ever isin charge the the pharmacies how great the service was at several locations was this past week.My pharmacy Palatine (04355)did not have the medication we needed so Des plaines(05711) was able to fill my husband’s and (Lake Zurich)04464) was able to mine. All the pharmacies personal were so very attentive and helpful. In Lake Zurich the pharmacist explained the dosage because of my health issues. They all do a fantastic job and should be commended. These days people are not thanked enough. We use your service in Florida as well. We are loyal customers. Thank you. God bless.

  6. Today. April 29th is the fourth time this month my local Walgreens Pharmacy has failed to have my prescriptions ready. In spite of putting all of my medications on Automatic Refill, I have had to call the pharmacy and request refills. This has resulted in me being without my medication(s) at times. The person third person I spoke to today told me that the medication I requested was not on Auto Refill. I have requested Auto Refill for all of my prescriptions several times. I was also told that the prescription needed to be authorized by my doctor and even if it was on Auto Refill they had to wait for the doctor’s OK. I have had Auto Refill service for my prescriptions not only at Walgreens but also at my previous pharmacy and never had this problem before.
    Also, the pharmacy is now closed Saturday and Sunday which is very inconvenient. I am diabetic and take medication to control my blood pressure. My health is very important and I have worked hard to keep healthy. Walgreens is certainly not helping!

  7. Walgreens in Banning California I have a complaint about the phone system for about a month and a 1/2 it’s not working it’s working and they will hang up on you.. When getting your medication as a walking you have to wait.. The long lines because they say that they’re computers are down And they never have your medication ready the next day have to wait about 2 to 3 days to get your medication that’s not right something needs to be done please have someone check out their computer system or hire some type of IT company to fix their computer problem and phone problems

I’ve made 3 attempts to pick up a prescription. 1st time, new puppy in the car, drive thru was broken. 2nd time, drive thru still broken, started to go inside, but found out pharmacy closed down due to a family emergency and no back up. 3rd try, drive thru still broken, went inside, had 9 people ahead of me in line, but couldn’t stay b/c I had a doctor’s appt. 4th try, I went into my account online to opt for delivery, not available. This store needs help!

Give coupons to guests and let you RUDE staff – whom is your manager “Linda” & co-worker “Anna” humiliate customers by telling them they can’t read- when clearly she didn’t scan the coupon to my rewards YESTERDAY when we shopped Walgreens- as when we are in our home town this IS my go to store! Bet I find another store to spend my money during the rest of my vacation in Naples if I have to drive 30 minutes – I WILL! Thanks LINDA and god bless your 20 years….. I will pray for you!!!

  11. I am 75 with bad knees,every time lately I go to Walgreens in Latonia Ky. the drivethru is closed.So today I needed this medicine went inside to find the Pharmacy closed for the whole day. Is it to much to ask to ask to put a sign. Krogers is across the street,I will give them a try.

Ok what I have to say you might want to check on this new pharmacist her name is Julie and she said she’s a pharmacist manager my wife has been taking a certain medication and she’s been taking it because all of the other medication she takes make her heavy and she made a lot of trouble for my wife when all these people doctors knew about the medicine she was on and this lady overrode the doctor and made it so there’s problems this happened in Washington Township Turnersville at your Walgreens site it’s on Egg Harbor Road endgame town. And the next people that I talk to will be in a attorney. It’s almost like this lady is coming in and trying to make a name for herself because she’s new the seats be straightened out you might not like what’s going to happen next I also write reviews for Google and I have over 300,000 people who follow me and when the word gets out that you’re hiring people you think they’re not touchable you might want to get it straightened out before I go nuts.

I use the Walgreens in Wareham Ma. on Marion Road.the people who woek in the Pharmacy Department need to be retrained.They have NO Customer Service skills or they really are unhappy with their job or there just really unhappy people.No Manager on site so please relay this to the Manager. Iwont go into all the details but having been in the Customer Service field for 25 years I know how to respect the Customer . Thankyou in advance to address this issue .

  15. So let me just preface this by saying, this particular pharmacy is notorious for having completely awful service. I just recently moved and I live minutes away. I used to fill my scripts there but quit because of how awful this walgreens is, but because I recently moved, I figured what the heck its been years I am sure they have different staff and I told my doctor this is my PRIMARY pharmacy and I wont even be able to change it now for another year. I never even want to look at this pharmacy again after tonight but I have no choice. SO, tonight I had to pick up my prescription. I called first thing in the morning to get it filled, it took ALL day before I got the automated call/text my script was ready. Now knowing how this walgreens operates, and knowing that they are notorious for changing their hours on a whim; I even CALLED before I got there. I was in the drive thru at 6:35, they just changed their hours this week to now closing at 7:00. So I wait, and wait and wait, until finally I get to the window. I look in and see about 5-7 employees, including a pharmacist, look over at me all talk to each other, then continue to TURN OFF THE LIGHTS and walk out of the pharmacy. At this point it was 7:04.. I immediately started knocking and pressing the call button and they all blatantly IGNORED ME. There were 2 other cars behind me who were also honking and yelling how MESSED UP this was cause they knew we were waiting over 20-30 minutes! Well I pull out to the front of the store where I see them DUCKING THEIR HEADS and running to their cars!! CAUSE THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS WRONG!! I managed to catch one who told me the pharmacy closes at 7, I told her I’ve been here since 6:30 and called ahead and she answers me “well i am off the clock and dont have anything else to say about this” and jumps in her car.. the pharmacist hears this conversation and just jumps in the car and pulls off.. At this point my face is hot and I am seeing red. You see I was completely out of my medication I neeeeeded MY medication that was relayed to them when I called!! I ran in and spoke to store manager but there was nothing that could be done. I have never ever been so disrespected in my life, they didn’t even have the decency to say anything to me, they literally just ran off like COWARDS. I’d have more respect for them if they said ” you” to my face..which is essentially what they did. I will not rest till I know this has been handled..

  18. OMG!!! This website for complaints to the Walgreens Headquarters is impossible. It won’t let me proceed with my complaint until my phone number is put in without spaces but the box defaults to dashes which you can’t correct. Then it asks for the store and when you hit store locator, it takes you to the store but with no way to enter them on the website that you just LOST because you clicked on the box that said store locator. This is ridiculous! I was trying to complain that my doctor can’t get through to the pharmacy to call in a script. When I called the store – not the pharmacy – the lady said that the doctor should have the email to use for that purpose. And yet, she couldn’t tell me how the doctor should get the email address. I am a health care provider who will no longer refer my patients to Walgreens. And I will not shop there again!

To whom this may concern, I have not a single complaint about the wonderful store and products that you offer and the beautiful employees that so delightfully represent the mission of Walgreens! However it is deplorable that these employees, and I mean from Colorado all the way into through Tennessee and now North Carolina or still required to wear these masks. And I’ve done my own little survey with them asking them and the majority of them say that yes I would like if they were to remove these mask mandates now there are a few, which I respect and so do the other employees that feel comfortable wearing the masks! I choose not to wear one and get along well with those that want to however that should be a personal choice and if the covid policies of ambiguity continue to exist or country will never recover back to the freedom loving nation that we have enjoyed for the past 260 some odd years.   21. Everything was fine this new manager came in cutting hours and changing shifts. The thing is he let the teenager who do no work and talk on they phones all day or hide keep the morning shifts because he said they are students . They need to get the am hours. People like me who is disable and work none stuff doing the work of three people never hide or be on phone. I was goven the option to either take night shift or leave. Very racist . ILLINOIS. If these so called manager a d supervisiours take the time to look on the video they will see who actually do the work vs those who don’t especially on Saturday and Sunday. They either pretend to be working or go hiding but me who stock all day money stuff plus operate the register is told to stock. The new manager laugh and talk to white workers they whisper and look at me crazy when I come around. I. Giving no days next week. Boy this world is backwards. Please look on cameras the days im in especially look on Saturday and Sunday and ask your self would I be the one you give less days to and give the teenagers and those who pretends to working days and hours. Only people I see really working here are the supervisours and managers and people with disability and seniors

  23. Walgreens at 3100 North Main Street in Las Cruces, New Mexico has mostly good employees. However, the Managers there say they have no control to follow US Federal Disability enactments. Also, they are afraid to loose their job to report the problem of no Disability line in their Business. From my years I can understand their point. Over 2 TWO years ago I reported the problems at this store with a phone Person stating he was the General Manager at Walgreens Corp. HQ’s. He was to get back to me. But He never did. Their employee answering calls, did not know the General Mgr. so, I do not know who works for WHO there. I again called again last week when I got out of the hospital from treatment and, they had two (2) lines of 10 cars each outside. So, I went inside and got in a line there of 10-12 people there. There are only 3 (three0 checkout lines at the Farmacy and 1 (one) checkout employee. Sometimes there are Two-3 but, ehen there are, it only takes 2 of them to operate one register. What training Walgreens has there.?
    The CEO refuses to take calls or, instructs the employees not to forward calls. I recall about Three (3) years ago when about Four (4) suits from the Corporation was here to visit and employees was jumping. There was a “FULL” employee presents that day. But, The next day was back to the Norm. Again, my complaint of a week ago has been ignored or, not replyed to as the lady stated. Again today I went to pick up medications that the doctor ordered. The two (2) lines mounted to 20 cars in the out side and, 8 (eight) folks in line. ONE employee at the Pharmacy check line. Since Walgreens has the Government Contract and, I cannot use CVS without Paying full price that would cost as much or more than my disability income, what am I to do? I will forward this mater the the US Congress that approves Walgreens Pharmacy by contract. Any others out there in the US, I’d like to hear from you. Maybe the CEO is looking for number’s not, just one disabled person complaining. I am pretty “sure” that this is not the only Walgreens with this kind of problem. I THANK THE CEO for ATTENTION too this matter..

    1. Well Sgt Mullins I thought I was the only person with the same complaints!! I will never walk into a Walgreen’s again for anything! The pharmacy operates the same way and the pharmist even hung up on me. The ceo is vastly overpaid , I will check into the government contract situation and write to every elected official who has anything to do with thes “contracts” Maybe they should investigate their fellow elected officials to see how and why such contracts even exist. You should NEVER have to go where you do not care to go. Sounds like a little under the table deal to me.

  24. Is it a new company policy worldwide that drive-through windows are exclusively for people doing Covid testing ?
    I have been told on two occasions at the Walgreens on Monmouth Road in Long branch New Jersey, that I had to come in to fill or pick up my prescriptions. I have a disability and I am also immune compromised so for me to try to walk in on crutches to the pharmacy & be exposed to others, is quite an inconvenience, let alone putting my health in jeopardy because the staff doesn’t want to come to the window. This is completely unacceptable!!

  25. Terrible service by pharmacist at the Walgreens in Myrtle Beach, SC on 79th Ave! I tried to get my prescription filled 3 times but because this pharmacy does not open on Sat or Sunday, I had to wait until Monday, after asking them to have it ready first thing Monday! When I arrived, I was told I didn’t have a refill for my Synthroid! I’m was crazy and yes I was very upset! First of all, pharmacies should not be closed two weekend days in a row! I’m very upset with the attitudes and service at Walgreens!

  27. Walgreens pharmacies in the Westminster/Arvada, CO have go e from 4-5 down to 1 in quality in the last 6 months. One closed on weekends making it impossible for me to get necessary meds. I transferred to another that now closes without notice on weekends and weekdays. You can’t get your calls answered ever. They may gi to a help center that sends them back to local store. I had pain meds locked in for days. I am furious. I know times are tough, but this is unacceptable, dangerous, and painful. Drive thrus are closed too. And, all other customers in a line when finally open scream the same things. There are 4-5 Walgreens within 2 miles of my house. Close 3 of them and fully staff one for 24 hours!

  29. I was in Walgreens in my home town of Cheboygan Michigan and I was so disappointed in the cleanliness of the store…every where I look standing in line at the pharmacy. The floors haven’t been properly vacuumed it seems months!! Behind the counter of the pharmacy “Everything” had a very thick layer of gray dust. Discussing when you think about a pharmacy that filthy. I dont want to get my (anything) in a place that cant even dust and clean like people are suppose to,They must not have to much pride in the place they work to let it go this bad. I should have broke out my camera and took pictures. I will go back in there in a month and see if the nasty is still there.
    Im so ashamed to call it my pharmacy to be quite honest.

  30. I am so upset with Walgreens. I had rite-aid for many years and had no problem. Then you closed the rite-aids here and automatically transferred me to Walgreens in university drive and I have had nothing but problems. I am 84 years old and have very bad knees so I elect to use the drive through. I have sat in the drive through as much as 20 to 30 minutes. I have driven away numerous times and come back another time only go through the same thing. I honestly watched through the window as one girl typed a prescription in and finally says she will be with me In a minute. I had already gotten a message that the prescription was ready but, guess what? She couldn’t find it. I finally did get it after several minutes and she said “I apologize”. I said don’t apologize to me apologize to the people in line behind me. During this pandemic they have been and are doing tests through the drive through while people wait in line to pick up prescriptions, including me. This is unacceptable. I have also been rude to in the window. I have planned to complain for over a year now but today was the last straw. My doctor called in a prescription at about 11:30 am. I called about 2 hours later and was told it wasn’t ready to call back in about an hour. My grandson went to pick it up at about 4pm and it’s not ready! He finally gets it about 5pm and he other appointments. This was for a UTI and not a life or death but I hope you never have one. I will be changing pharmacies in the real near future. This is totally unacceptable with a company as big as Walgreens. You need to do undercover boss!

  39. The Walgreens in North Oaks Minnesota has the dirtiest appearance of any Walgreens we have ever shopped. We have lived near it for seven years. The entranceway is absolutely filthy. We have talked to the manager on numerous occasions and this never improves. The carpeting is worn down to the floor!! Years ago I talk to the manager and in seven years disappearance has just gotten worse and worse.

  44. I had an appointment for my son @ Walgreens on July 21,2021 here in Alabama, Saraland, Al. We arrived 30mins for his Covid-19 shot like we were instructed. He didn’t receive the shot due to his insurance card wasn’t up to date! Even though the vaccination is free, Walgreens never should’ve turn him away, and I contacted Headquarters, and I was told they would contact me within two days, never heard from them! And my complaint wasn’t about the insurance issue, he had an appointment, and a WHITE Female came in about five minutes after our arrival, and she stated she was there to take the vaccination but I don’t have an appointment, she was immediately give paperwork to fill out, and he was never given one, and we continue to sit there waiting, and never did he was even given paperwork or even a vaccination, she had immediately gotten her’s and we sat there for about an hour and ten minutes. So I feel that we were discriminated against! Walgreens @ hwy 43 & Shelton Beach Rd, Saraland , Al. As of today July 29, 2021, still haven’t heard from Walgreens headquarters.

  48. I have been a life long customer at Walgreens. On Tuesday my wife was released from a local re-hab facility. I was given two prescriptions which I wanted to have filled at the Walgreens on Applegarth Rd. In Monroe. The tech informed the person who wrote the script was not on the state authorized list. I explained my dilemma that I needed to have scripts filled that evening. I was told they couldn’t help me. I asked could the call the facility but they refused. I asked to speak to the manager, I was she left for the day. At that point I was totally frustrated. I then asked for the store manager that’s when a woman by the name of Dawn Luhrs introduced herself as the operations manager. I asked her to please call the facility and she refused. I went down the street and had the prescriptions filled within a half hour. Valerie the pharmacist manager called me to apologize.

  56. The Walgreens I was just at we have been with for three years now. In November my daughter was prescribed citirizine liquid. The pharmacy told me I was getting the full month supply, but that was not true. The pharmacy was only giving me a partial because the full amount would need a prior authorization. I was never informed of this. The prior authorization was finally put through. The day I went to pick up the system was having issues so they gave me an emergency 3 day amount. Later that day I got the notification that the script was filled. I was not able to come back out, I had waited an hour then for them to figure the situation out and needed to sleep before work. I work two jobs. I am not able to come often. Apparently the script was put back. I was told today to wait 35 minutes and they will refill it. I waited. They then said they can’t fill it because of the insurance. It will go through on the 9th. So I said that we will be fine with an emergency supply as long as it will actually be ready on the 9th. Because I had already waited an hour again today. Apparently they couldn’t give me one (I assume because they gave me one last time). I do not understand why they could not call the insurance. They kept saying it’s not them it’s the insurance, but the insurance had already put through the prior authorization and confirmed it to be able to be picked up “early”. My daughter does NOT take pills. We have been working trying to get her to take them. She NEEDS the liquid, but the pharmacy couldn’t give us anything. After I waited so long that we were then late to my daughters appointment. This is absolutely ridiculous. I don’t think I will ever use Walgreens again as my pharmacy nor shop there. I will also make sure none of my extended family supports the company either. This is just insane. I would like something to be done about this. It has wasted too much of my time. And for the pharmacy themself to not be able to talk to me, only the tech. This is just insane I have never been more frustrated with a pharmacy before. My phone number is 6098474133. I would like to be sent an email or called and notified as to what’s gokng on with this.   58. My wife and 4 kids have been a loyal coustomer with a Walgreens pharmacy for 26 years in Jensen Bch., Florida. I called the pharmacy and explained that a script I needed filling is $65.00 per pill, but I could purchase it in Canada for $5.00 per pill. The pharmasist told me to get the fax and phone # from the company and they would help me. 3 days go by and I contact the company and they tell me that Walgreens refuses to e-mail or fax my script. I contacted the Walgreeens here and was told 1.) that walgreens would not send scripts out of the country, 2) would not fax or E mail a sript to another company, needed to be a a script, I was amazed that I would get such resistance from their pharmasist since I ordered the same script from the same pharmacy just 90 days ago without any issues. Contacted customer service regionally and their Corp. office and got the impression my business did not matter to them and received no satisfaction.Guess what CVS has a store less than 1/4 mile down the street. There is a good reason they are the nations largest I guess. The store would allow me to take my business some where else than take 30 seconds and forward my e mail.

  62. On September 29 2018 I was verbally harassed not once, twice but more than several times by Walgreens manager at store #4680 located at 3rd/ Market St. San Francisco Calif. The manager accused me of verbal sexual harassment when I met with old friend. All I said was nice to see you again Nice haircut.Then the manager said, don’t why you even talk to ladies you”re kind of person who will never get a lady.Then he said by the way look at your cheap peach fuzzof moustache! Then as I was leaving he yelled why don’t you sxxx xx xxxx? I contacted manager who fired him I called Corporate who referred me to C/Relations. But when I called them I was on phone for b out 30 min. But my concern wasn’t addressed due to person refused to seek assistance. Then I felt worse they didn’t seem to care. I spoke with SF Legal Aid at Hastings Law. They advised me to draft an open demand letter which I did. I am now waiting to hear from them. I really feel they gave me wrong contact name and or contact of their Legal Team. I am requesting a settlement of 2,000 due to severe harassment, emotional distress and failure to assist me in following through with a serious complaint in a timely fashion. Thank you for your time.   63. a month ago I was shorted 20 pills of oxycodone. I went back to the store to complain to the pharmacist and he said he counted them twice. I handed the prescription bottle to him and said you count them. he said he didn’t need to. he said he would give me the 20 pills that were missing. 2 minute later he said give me the bottle and he would put them in it. he asked if I wanted to count them and I said I would count them when I get home. I went there today 9-13-18 for a refill of the same med. He gives me a hard time and tells me there’s a 24 hr. wait time even though the prescription is dated for todays date. Walgreen policy he says. well that’s BS, other pharmacist fill it in a couple of hours. He is the only pharmacist that thinks it fun to give me a hard time and wait 24 hrs. He will short me 20 pills and lie and say he counted them twice. what plans he had for these pills only he knows. I’ve been a customer of Walgreens for 23 years. I’m sick of his attitude.   67. I am in Walgreens San Leandro 15500 Washington Ave and I step over get something one of the employees there come up to my bf and grab my purse he didn’t even ask or say why and I turn around he say to my bf oh that not your bag then walks away.
    Everyone look at us like a criminal I do have my own business I never stole in my life it’s so embarrassing feeling that way, I feel so sorry for my bf and he almost a cop himself and he didn’t say a word he didn’t want to escalate the matter
    I get home call the store, they didn’t offer any reason why, no explanation, they wouldn’t even give me corporate number to complain. I hope we can resolve this matter.

  68. My 3 year old daughter was prescribed 14 days worth of an antibiotic for a middle ear infection. The pharmacist that checked me out at the counter gave me 1 small 28 ml bottle of the antibiotic. I asked her are you sure that this will cover the entire 14 days. She said well, it should cover 10 days at least days. Ummmm… that’s not going to work for me we are going to have to call the doctor to okay this. She said no it will be fine. Then she charged me full price even though I was short 4 days of medication. I had a meltdown and was then told they didn’t have the remaining medication and the rest would be delivered the next day and I could pick up the other part. I feel like if I was just the average person and not a medical professional I wouldn’t have known any different. How many people are they ripping off! Never using Walgreens again!

  69. Walgreen’s in Montgomery, AL. just charged me $125.75 for 300 ml which is a 1/4 of the medication prescribed. I contacted corporate and was told the medication is $9.99 cash price for all 1200 ml. What kind of company allows its pharmacists to price gouge but also refuse to refund the difference when confronted? You just lost a long time customer. He was rude, inconsiderate, and lacking any kind of compassion. My daughter just got out of the hospital and you better thank the Lord my concern is on her and not that employee because he wouldn’t need medication if I put another eye socket in the middle of his forehead. Think about that as you try to steal from people!

    1. Adam H.post is exactly right i have been treated the same way and on 3 occasions i counted my pills and i was shorted some that were controlled, so i count my pills at the counter. i dont care if its 500 people, they will have to wait.
